Clinical Meeting
This half-day Clinical Day on Refugee and Newcomer Health will take place at the University of Waterloo, School of Pharmacy and is designed for physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and allied health professionals working with refugees, migrants, and other newcomers. The meeting will focus on practical, evidence-informed approaches to addressing complex health and social needs, with discussions led by experienced clinicians. Key topics include health equity and access to care, mental health, trauma and psychosocial wellbeing, chronic disease management in marginalized communities, infectious diseases including hepatitides.

IEHPs-CAN Meeting
This event is designed for Internationally Educated Health Professionals across Canada. It will be delivered in a hybrid format and hosted at the University of Waterloo, School of Pharmacy. Full details, including the agenda and registration information, will be shared soon.

Peace Professionalism Project (PPP)
This half-day session will focus on the Peace Professionalism Project – a Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) / Conseil de recherches en sciences humaines (CRSH) – funded research initiative that brings together voices across sectors and disciplines to strengthen how peace work is understood, taught, and practiced (for more info: https://peaceprofessionalism.com).

Transactional Sex for Fish (TS4F)
This half-day session features an NFRF-funded pilot exploratory study on Transactional Sex-for-Fish (TS4F) in Kenya’s Lake Victoria region.
Saint Paul University and PEGASUS Institute (co-investigators on the project) will co-host a panel discussion amongst the primary research and analysis team, highlighting findings to-date, significant trends and learnings surrounding gender-based violence (GBV) and community health education, sustainable fishing policy and livelihoods programming.

Emerging Leaders Network (ELN) Meeting
This is an Emerging Leaders Network (ELN) gathering bringing together 25–35 in-person participants plus virtual attendees. The event will include welcome and opening remarks, a keynote address, a coffee break, a roundtable-style open discussion, and closing reflections, followed by lunch. The afternoon continues with a panel conversation focused on academic freedom, then wraps up with a mixer and networking session for attendees to connect and build relationships.

Extraction in the Era of Global Change: Latin America
This event will take place at the Balsillie School of International Affairs and will be Invitation-only and bilingual in English and Spanish, bringing together approximately 20–30 in-person participants plus virtual attendees for a focused session on extractivism. The session includes welcome and opening remarks, followed by various panel discussions with Q&As, a coffee break, and closing reflections to wrap up the session, with lunch included.

Migration - Morning Meeting
This session focused on North America–Europe collaboration in refugee health. Its an Invite-only meeting hosted at the Balsillie School of International Affairs, with an option for virtual participation. This session will focus on a structured discussion of refugee health priorities and shared challenges.
