Dr Ntaganira est un expert en santé publique avec 38 ans d’expérience professionnelle, dont 19 ans au sein de l’Organisation mondiale de la santé (OMS). Il a pris sa retraite de l’OMS le 30 juin 2021, son dernier poste étant celui de chef du bureau de liaison de l’OMS auprès de l’Union africaine (UA) et de la Commission économique des Nations unies pour l’Afrique (CEA), basé à Addis-Abeba, en Éthiopie. Le parcours du Dr Ntaganira dans le domaine de la santé publique l’a conduit à occuper divers postes au sein du système de santé national, du niveau des soins de santé primaires à celui de l’élaboration des politiques nationales au Burundi et au Rwanda.

Développer et tester de nouvelles approches pour l’exercice des professions de la paix

Le réseau francophone de l’Institut PEGASUS a invité à son webinaire du 28 août 2025 à 12h HNE (Heure de Toronto). Le professeur Philip Onguny a présenté le projet sur l’exercice des professions de la paix (Peace Professionalism Project) dont il était le directeur.

Le projet visait à améliorer la planification, la mise en œuvre et l’évaluation des programmes de paix et à compléter les programmes d’études sur la paix et les conflits.

Webinar Series: Health Systems Recovery in Fragile Contexts

PEGASUS Institute hosted a webinar on Health Systems Recovery in Fragile and Conflict-Affected Situations in the Eastern Mediterranean Region.

The session featured Dr. Ali Ardalan, Regional Adviser for Health Systems Resilience at the WHO Regional Office for the Eastern Mediterranean, who shared insights on strengthening health systems in challenging contexts.

For IMGs: Residency Match Pathways: Insights from IMGs Who Matched in Canada and the U.S.

We recently hosted a live webinar featuring medical residents who successfully matched through the CaRMS (Canadian Residency Matching Service) and ERAS (Electronic Residency Application Service) systems. They shared personal stories, lessons learned, and advice for fellow International Medical Graduates (IMGs).
